Crying for no reason isn’t me. Granted this isn’t no reason, it’s frustration and hormones.
I’m frustrated that this horrible acne is still a problem. I’ve dealt with it for 10 plus years and it’s mostly just gotten worse. It sucks and physically hurts, but more than that, it messes with my self esteem and confidence.
I also don’t know if it gets worse from food I eat, like dairy, from stress or fluctuating hormones. It’s always a guessing game.
Ovulation could also play effect into the acne spots and also the random high emotions… so in one sense, I love it as I know my body is trying to ovulate- YA! But in other sense, it’s making things worse for a day or a few days.
Healing is a journey and I know this, but some days are harder than others. Everyone has their own struggles in life and this one is mine. However, I am very grateful for friends and family who are supportive and willing to learn how my body functions different than theirs.
Side note – PCOS was changed to PMOS on May 12, 2026! This is a huge deal! PMOS stands for Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome and has a bigger emphasis on the endocrine and metabolic symptoms that go with the condition. This is huge! More people will realize that this chronic illness has more to do with your body than just your ovaries and hormones. PCOS, now PMOS, affects a woman’s whole body and how she functions in so many systems – endocrine, reproductive, metabolic, integumentary (skin), and nervous system. Hopefully women get more of the help they need if they currently suffer from PMOS or get diagnosed quicker.
