Healing

I never thought I would be praying for healing for myself.

I have always prayed for other people’s healing – grandparent’s cancer and heart surgery, aunt’s surgeries, more grandparent cancer, grandma’s sickness, mom’s nerve problems, and more that I can’t think of.

But at the Brandon Lake concert Thursday night, it was my healing that I was crying out to God for. I have prayed this prayer the past few months but this felt different. I was with thousands of other believers praising God and asking Him for many things.

I am asking God to heal all of my hormone issues and whatever else is going on. To take this away from my body and no longer have to deal with some of these hard symptoms every day. To heal my body so I can eventually be able to have kids of my own.

As much as I know that all of this is my own battle to fight, we are not called to fight battles alone. We are called to fight with others who love us. We are told to give these battles, whatever they may be, to the Lord our Father, who loves us deeply.

So I am choosing to give this battle to the Lord and Praise Him through the storm and hope that there will soon be a Lighthouse through this never ending storm I am facing.

“So when I fight, I’ll fight on my knees, with my hands lifted high, Oh God, the battle belongs to You. And every fear I lay at your feet, I’ll sing through the night, Oh God, the battle belongs to You!”

Battle Belongs by Phil Wickham

“Sometimes you’ve gotta praise in the prison, cry out to heaven, shout ‘til the door swings wide, Sometimes you’ve gotta stand on your shackles, brave in the battle, worship with your hands held high. I’ll Praise You anywhere!”

Praise You Anywhere by Brandon Lake

“In the silence, You won’t let go. In the questions, Your truth will hold, Your great love will lead me through. You are the peace in my troubled sea. You are the peace in my troubled sea. My lighthouse, my lighthouse shining in the darkness, I will follow You. My lighthouse, my lighthouse I will trust the promise You will carry me safe to shore”
