Going into a new school district, a new school, and a new area of teaching with new people can feel hard and overwhelming. I have had those feelings off and on the last few weeks as I am prepping for the school year with different trainings and classroom work.
But even though it feels like it’s all too much sometimes, I have supportive people at school, friends and family offering listening ears and encouragement, and a God who is with me and knows the road ahead because He is the one who planned it all.
Praying for strength and bravery to do my best and help my student learn and grow.
Courage to ask all the questions, even the ones that feel dumb or silly. Joy in the unknown and hard days. Grace for my students and especially, myself with everything new and the “scary things”. Reminding myself that teaching is my job, not my identity, and I should prioritize my health and have a life outside of being a teacher.
God is the author and I am the main character in a crazy story called My Life. Scared but excited to see what He writes next!
