Home isn’t just a place, it’s the people.
I’d like to disagree with that a little bit. Yes, the people make it special and you can feel at home with certain people. But for me, home will always be the farm.
The family farm where the tractors and other equipment roll on and off the yard. The two story white farm house that looks better on the inside than the outside. The farm dogs, wild cats, and dead rats laying around.
The gravel roads that lead to nowhere and everywhere at the same time. The open space for miles and sometimes, starry night skies. The gorgeous sunsets painted in multiple colors by an amazing Creator. The time of family working together to make a living with this difficult, yet wonderful, adventure called farming.
So you see, home is the people yes, but home can also be the place. I love this place and this family I am a part of. Farming and family will forever go hand in hand.
