Why a blog

Why am I blogging, you may wonder? I have always loved writing and a close friend, you know who you are, suggested I start blogging or share my health struggles on social media so it could encourage others too. So, I just ran with it.

My hope is to write for myself, to help me process things as well as just to get my feelings and emotions out. I also hope that some others struggling with an invisible disease or a chronic illness can see that they are not alone and can be encouraged by these words. God is good but that doesn’t mean that things aren’t still hard in this broken world.

It’s the year of healing. It’s the year of trying different things and trying to be okay with the unknown. It’s the time for me to work on growing and healing past hurts. But it is also the time for me to slow down and give myself grace through the hard times of waiting. The waiting seasons are hard and they really suck, but as another great friend said, they also bring us closer to Jesus.

Growth. Grace. Healing. And lots of Jesus.
